Our Mission

Mountain View Academy is a 10-week summer ministry in the Dominican countryside. Students have the opportunity to be involved in meaningful work projects, cultural education, and team-building experiences. We have a dedicated team of staff who will guide each student through their time at Mountain View Academy.

The goal of Mountain View Academy is to use cultural experiences, team building, and hard work as tools for the purpose of motivating teenagers to better their futures. Students will be able to learn an appreciation of hard work, cultural differences, and service to others. They will learn self-motivation through the accomplishment of goals and fulfillment of relationship-based training.

Our students are immersed in the Dominican culture, learning to appreciate the experience of cross-cultural living. Crises and problems are necessary for growth and are seen as opportunities. As they arise while a child is in our care, he or she will be taught proper conflict-resolution techniques and problem-solving skills. Group therapy sessions and individual counseling are integrated as needed with Christ-centered approaches.
