Message From The President

Dr. Redwine

Pain and Power.

These two intersect in our lives and in the lives of our adolescents and produce a crisis. And because family can produce the most poignant pain of all, this resulting crisis produces deep anguish, lost of sleep and often shattered dreams. Physical pain can decrease and heal, but emotional or family pain of this magnitude can fester for a lifetime.

Yet in the life of Christ, when pain and power intersected, they produced a cross. That cross and the blood shed there brought salvation to all mankind and through death came resurrection.

Ironically, Jesus told us to take up our cross and follow Him. Take up the intersection of pain and power in your lives and follow the Slain Lamb of God.

New Horizons Youth Ministries exists to stand with families at this painful intersection of their lives. Our hope is to see a true cross of Christ produced in each family. This takes time and much prayer for all those involved—and for our families it means separation.

After more than 35 years of ministering to hurting youth and families we understand the pain. We are here to help rebuild the foundation in the lives of your sons and daughters as they move to adulthood.

Our programs are not easy. Your kids do not want help. You do not wish to give them up. However, we will work with you to find options that best serve your family.

We ask that all prospective parents call four parents on the list of parents from the previous two years, no names removed. We allow them to speak for us about our hearts and our blemishes.

If you are visiting this website because you are hurting as a parent, call us up and talk with us. We will listen and share things to try, other options to consider, and explain our short term, ten week programs as well as our year round programs all located in Canada, the Dominican Republic and the United States.

The decision to place your son or daughter outside the home is a major one and an investment none should take lightly. Peruse our website, talk with former parents, come sit in on one of our parent meetings, call us on the phone or come visit.

We are here to serve your family.

Sincerely,

Charles P. Redwine D. Min., LMFT
President
