It is always delightful to see people again after they have graduated from NHYM or have moved on to the next step in their lives. Founder's Day also allows parents to meet staff members for the first time after many phone calls and email messages between each other. This family reunion alone is enough reason to celebrate this day.

Another reason for this year's festivities was to honor Tim and Rose Blossom for their faithfulness and sacrifice these past 36 years. It was heartwarming and at times amusing to hear the testimonies and letters thanking Tim and Rose for how they had touched someone's life. God has used them in ways that may never be known this side of heaven but we at NHYM wanted to express some of that gratitude now.

Founder's Day 2007 also marks a new era in our ministry as the mantel was passed from Tim Blossom to Chuck Redwine. Chuck is our new CEO of NHYM and Tim is now our President Emeritus.

Nine staff members were shown gratitude for their service to NHYM. Their faithfulness and hard work, whether for two years or 10 plus years is worth noting. Thank you to Terry Friesen, Jill Friesen, Jon Sawyer, Rachel Sawyer, Aimee Molnar, Monica Bush, Amie Love, Tina McCord and Danny Bird.

And finally, a resounding thank you went out to our parents who have entrusted their children to our care, past and present. This is a great honor that we never take lightly.
